Learning starts with doing, touching, and playing. Puzzle blocks become programming tools for building and testing virtual bikes. We create games where hands-on play unlocks surprising effects that reveal what everyday life can’t show. Physical interaction sparks curiosity, and curiosity drives understanding.
Our build and play lab
Our lab is an immersive space where ideas come to life. Projected walls and floor, combined with sensors and smart hardware, turn the room into a fully interactive environment. This is also where we build and test setups, using phidgets, sensors, and sometimes simple materials like wood and cardboard. We focus on smart technology that lets us quickly prototype and playtest with different audiences. We simply love playing, experimenting, and iterating to keep every experience in motion and in development.
Meet the team
Founded 20+ years ago by student friends Wouter and Wouter, YIPP is based in the heart of Amsterdam. Our team of 18 people of creative thinkers and makers - content designers, illustrators, 3D-artists and software-wizards- turn ideas into playful, hands-on experiences.
